The Mahikeng Local Municipality is making significant strides in its ongoing commitment to enhancing local infrastructure, with visible progress on the internal road project that connects Jikeleza, Lerato Café, and Magogoe Koi-Koi. This vital 3.4-kilometer stretch, which spans across Wards 14, 19, and 34, is steadily taking shape, marking a key milestone in efforts to improve community mobility and service delivery.
Once completed, the new road will not only connect important community hubs but also reduce travel times, support local businesses and provide safer, more reliable access for pedestrians, motorists and emergency services alike.
The initiative is part of Mahikeng Local Municipality’s broader plan to rehabilitate and upgrade key infrastructure nodes across the region. With the Lerato Café and Jikeleza section already complete and Magogoe Koikoi is progressing swiftly, the municipality is on track to deliver a finished road that will greatly improve the quality of life for residents of Magogoe and surrounding areas.
