Indigent management system (Indi-reg) is a system that designed to keep track of, and accurately reflect, the status of indigent households to cater for all necessary actions during registration steps through the maintenance of the register. It integrates with bureaus to provide online immediate report on various statuses of

applicant and household and the system register electronic and caters for subsidy periods. Indi-Reg contributes to revenue protection programmes by highlighting excessive consumption

services by indigent households, where integrated with the financial system/meter reading,

making it possible to align the actual usage of services to allowable usage as dictated by policy. It facilitates flagging of indigent households on the debtor system thereby ensuring

application of focused and appropriate collection strategies.
