Executive Mayor, Single Whip and Councillors of Mahikeng Local Municipality during a workshop with the Human Rights Commission

“The Commission saw it befitting to form a relationship between Councillors and us as well as educate them on issues of human rights so that they know which processes to follow when there are violations of human rights. One of our mandates is to create awareness, so that when there are community meetings or Imbizos, we can be called to come and educate the community on human rights and the role of the Human Rights Commission” said Adv Oarabile Gaoraelwe from the Human Rights Commission.
